Misc: The Raue Center for the Arts in Crystal Lake, Illinois (1 hour from
downtown Chicago) is looking for a part-time Master Electrician. The many and
varied duties of the ME include overseeing the inventory and rep plot of a
historic 800 seat theatre and adjusting as needed for a variety of
performances in various disciplines. He/She must take a proactive approach to
troubleshooting and repair. The ideal candidate will have solid skills and
significant experience in all aspects of lighting. Experience in lighting
design is a plus, as there will be some opportunities in that area.
Candidate must have a strong work ethic, flexibility, be able to take
direction, as well as multi-task in a fast paced environment without
supervision. He or she will also be able to maintain a positive attitude under
an intense and often unpredictable schedule, and work comfortably with artists
in a variety of disciplines.
As part of a complete production team, assistance in all departments is
expected as primary duties allow. Candidate should be able to lift 50 lbs
unassisted.
