Dark Star lighting & production is looking for a well organized, talented, and energetic person. Previous experience in entertainment lighting IS required. Must be computer literate and possess great customer service skills. Positive attitudes only - you must be passionate about your work and want to live in one of the best places in the U.S.! DO NOT APPLY UNLESS YOU MEET THIS REQUIREMENT: - Have common sense. Skills needed for this position: - Must have a minimum of 2 years of professional experience in the industry. - Working knowledge of temporary lighting, dimming, control, and support systems. - Console operation experience (Hog, ETC). - Basic understanding of automated lighting systems. - Ability to supervise and manage crews. - Possess strong written and verbal communication skills. - Stong computer Skills. - A natural understanding of theatrical lighting design and the ability to make it happen. - Ability to work long hours when necessary. - Clean driving record. - Ability to work respectfully in a corporate environment. - Grace under fire a must! Skills that will help: - WYSIWYG experience - Catalyst/Video/digital lighting experience - Ability to drive non-cdl trucks - Theatrical systems installation experience - Ability to plan temporary power distribution systems - Show prep experience - Good problem solver - Power distribution and generator experience - Knowledge of rigging and truss Duties include: Customer interface, rental and production quotes, production planning, prepping shows, production implementation for theatrical, dance, music, special events, concert, architectural and corporate events, basic equipment repair, production staffing, using WYSIWYG. Definite possibility for advancement. Applicants must be physically able to lift and carry at least 50 lbs. Can't be scared of heights or dark places. Appreciation for outdoors, ski and/or snowboard skills beneficial.
